ABOUT ME

Philippe Demartin is the son of first-generation immigrants and a citizen of the United States, Canada, and Italy. He has always participated in activities that allowed him to express his creativity, the majority namely being drawing, Lego construction, and origami. All of these helped cultivate the imaginative person that Philippe is today. In high school, he competed in several different racing sports — cross country, track, swimming, rowing, and triathlons. Philippe chose to study architecture after finding success in a three-dimensional sculpture class. Now in a major that truly interests him, Philippe is especially motivated to do well and show what he is capable of. He takes his academics very seriously and is in the top 7.5% of the Junior class at JMU.  Along with his classwork, Philippe is very passionate about his job at the universal recreation center. He works as a trip leader and takes other students on mountain biking, white water kayaking, and other exciting adventures. In summary, Philippe Demartin is ready to take on any challenge that confronts him.
